Amrit joined Zenith Chambers in December 2018 having previously undertaken pupillage in 2017, thereafter he worked as in-house counsel. He has developed a strong personal injury practice, comprising of disease litigation and clinical negligence. Since joining Zenith, Amrit has continued to develop a strong personal injury practice covering fast-track and multi-track. He has considerable experience within noise induced hearing loss, hand arm vibration syndrome, carpal tunnel syndrome, COSHH cases including asthma and dermatitis along with work-related upper limb disorder claims and range of clinical negligence work. In addition, he is regularly instructed in RTA and credit hire cases. He undertakes a wide range of hearings as well as his trial work including infant approvals, CMC’s, CCMC’s and has appeared with success in various applications ranging from relief from sanctions and applications for strike out.
Amrit has had previous experience of acting for both claimant and defendant within the field of industrial disease. He has previous experience of managing a large team led by solicitors and appreciates the complexities involved with litigation. He is particularly fond of grappling with issues relating to causation or breach of duty. He has a down-to-earth practical approach when dealing with those instructing and his lay clients.
He was recognised in the Legal 500 in in 2018 for being a ‘tough negotiator’ and previously in 2017 for his ‘attention to client care’.
