Emily Ross

Year of call 2017


Emily accepts instructions in all aspects of family law and regularly represents parents, local authorities, children and grandparents in care proceedings. In private law proceedings Emily acts on behalf of parents at various stages of the court process; from the FHDRA through to finding of fact hearings and contested final hearings.

Emily is approachable and builds rapport quickly with lay clients. She ensures the client fully understands what to expect from a hearing and the outcome following it. Her sense of professionalism also facilitates strong relationships with professional clients.  

Emily completed a specialist family law pupillage in 2018 under the supervision of Louise McCallum and Tony Hajimitsis. She frequently speaks at Chambers’ seminars and is an active members of the Young Resolution committee in West and North Yorkshire.

In her spare time Emily enjoys cooking for friends and family, going to gigs and competing in Tough Mudder events.
