Zenith Chambers is delighted to announce that Simon Kealey has been appointed Queen’s Counsel in the 2016-17 competition. The conferring of silk status will be made at a ceremony at the Palace of Westminster on the 13th February 2017.
The appointment of Queen's Counsel reflects excellence in advocacy and follows an extensive application and interview process. Appointments are made by Her Majesty The Queen on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, Elizabeth Truss, following consideration by the independent Queen’s Counsel Selection Panel.
Simon was called in 1991 and has been a Criminal Recorder since 2012. Our Head of Chambers David Bradshaw and all members and staff at Zenith all warmly congratulate Simon on his well deserved appointment.

"It is plain to those who practice in the Leeds area that Zenith Chambers are highly popular with and well respected by the Court users and the Judiciary. They are very personable and approachable – nothing is too much trouble for them. As an instructing solicitor I have always felt supported and safe in the knowledge that they will assist as much as possible often in complex and emergency situations."Legal 500 (2015)
