Seminars

In 2008, the Barristers at Zenith Chambers provided over 70 seminars to clients. A majority were provided in-house, but many were part of the open-house Seminar Programme.

Our seminar topics span a wide range of legal issues covering various aspects of the law relating to personal injury, family, crime, housing and employment cases.

All the Seminars are CPD accredited by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and Bar Standards Board. Our SRA CPD Reference is BHO/ZECH.

Future Seminars in 2009

Join the Zenith Family Group at their regular Monday Wine & Wisdom Talk : have a post work drink on us, and a one hour talk from a couple of members of the Family Team, in Chambers, covering a range of topics relating to children and ancillary relief.

The  Zenith Family Group will also be holding a one day's seminar Children Act 1989 - A Happy 20th Birthday? at Rudding Park on the 27th March. We will have guest speakers who are representatives of the Judiciary, Cafcass, a Local Authority and from the Medical Profession: each giving their take on their experiences in the light (or shadow) of the Children Act over the last 20 years.

Gordon Exall and the PI Group will be holding a one day seminar in the beautiful setting of Rudding Park on the 13th February on Accidents at Work (5 hours' CPD). This seminar provides a great introduction to the subject, but there are plenty of gems of information for the more experienced.

The Personal Injury Group will also be offering a monthly seminar in Leeds, on a range of topics throughout 2009. They hope to offer the same talks in at least two other locations outside Leeds to the benefit of those who are unable to travel into Leeds. We hope to post dates on the site as soon as possible.

The Crime Team are also launching their series of 'A P and a Pint' talks to take place in Leeds and other locations around Yorkshire : earning you a CPD point (the 'P') over a drink (the 'Pint) at the end of long day!

The Seminar topics are determined by recent developments in the law, clients’ needs and specific request. Our list of recent topics gives you an indication of the breadth of subjects covered, and our extensive list of speakers demonstrates the commitment Zenith Chambers gives to providing CPD training for its solicitor clients.

In-house CPD seminars are provided, usually to groups of 8 or more solicitors and support staff in numerous firms and organisations each year throughout the region.
