Ashley represents both Claimants and Defendants in multi-track and fast-track trials. He provides written advice in this area from drafting pleadings, to advice on merits, and quantum.
Ashley has particular expertise in employer's liability cases and has recently acted in hearing loss claims involving the cross examination of leading experts.
He represents Claimants and Defendants at joint settlement meetings, which have included claims up to the value of £350,000.00. In a recent joint settlement meeting he was against a QC, in a case which involved serious multiple injuries, and surveillance evidence.

Hawkesworth v Staffordshire Police (2011) Telford CC before HHJ Main QC two day multi-track trial concerning hearing loss with live evidence from two leading experts in acoustics.
Sumbland v Siemens PLC (2010) Stoke on Trent CC, two day multi-track trial employer's liability claim. This case concerned the analysis of the risk management systems, which involved the cross examination of multiple witnesses.
