Julian was called to the Bar in 2002 and worked as a Magistrate’s Court Legal Advisor before qualifying as a practicing barrister in 2007.
He completed his Pupillage with Garden Court Chambers (London) a leading multi-disciplinary Human Rights and Public Law chambers.
Areas of Expertise
As a pupil Julian worked on Housing, Immigration and Judicial Review cases within a human rights context.
Since 2008/9 the main focus of his practice and experience has been general common law Personal Injury and Commercial work, including employer’s liability, RTA’s, credit hire, trips and slips and debt recovery.
He now regularly advises and represents both Claimants and Defendants in relation to contentious matters in these areas, encompassing:

• Disposals (including MOJ procedure)
• Infant Approvals
• Quantum and liability assessments
