Notable Cases
Justin is currently undertaking, or has recently been involved in the litigation of the following cases, which are of note due to their complexity of value.
- Fatal Accident Claim
Assessing and presenting the dependency claim for two children of the deceased born to different mothers. This arose from am extremely unusual set of circumstances as one of the dependent children was born after the deceased's death and therefore there was no previous expenditure upon which the dependency claim could be calculated. - Nervous Shock
Defending a claim for damages in the High Court for nervous shock brought by parents of the deceased who had come upon the scene of a fatal road traffic accident at which their son had died after he had been taken from the scene. Causation and quantum in dispute (ongoing). - Chronic Pain Syndrome
Settlement of a claim in a sum in excess of £250,000 arising from a relatively minor road traffic accident after which the claimant had gone on to develop Chronic Pain Syndrome. Complex medical evidence as to causation obtained by both parties.
