Lucy Wilson-Barnes’ practice comprises traditional Chancery, commercial and insolvency litigation. She undertakes contentious and non-contentious work in the areas of company, partnership, probate, trusts, real property and conveyancing. Her insolvency work includes property-related issues such as beneficial interests in bankrupt’s property, securities, preferences and transactions at undervalue, directors disqualification, bankruptcy (and bankruptcy restriction orders), voluntary arrangements, issues arising from creditors’ meetings and public interest winding up petitions. Her practice also encompasses a wide range of commercial litigation with a particular focus on contractual disputes concerning commercial developments, confidential information and restraint of trade. She regularly appears in Court at all levels, including VAT tribunals, in relation to both trial work and interim applications. Lucy was appointed to the Provincial Panel of Junior Counsel to the Crown in 2000.
