Areas of Expertise

Motor Accidents

Nicola has spent 11 years at the bar dealing with motor accidents and has significant experience and expertise in this area.  Indeed, she is convinced that there isn’t a car crash scenario she has not argued on one side or the other, but is willing to be persuaded otherwise!
Nicola acts for both Claimants and Defendants in all aspects of road traffic accidents including liability and quantum cases, assessments of damages, inquests and costs.  Nicola appears in fast and multi track cases, and provides advices and pleadings on all aspects of road traffic accident claims.  Nicola is willing to accept instructions on a CFA basis.

Credit Hire

Nicola had been on her feet for two months when Dimond v Lovell was handed down by the House of Lords.  As a result she spent her early years in practice arguing 3-5 credit hire cases a week, acting for both Claimants and Defendants, and she hasn’t stopped.  She has extensive knowledge and experience in credit hire cases, and still regularly acts for both Claimants and Defendants on the North Eastern Circuit and further afield.
She provides pleadings and advices on all aspects of credit hire, particularly the enforceability of agreements, and regularly lectures and provides in house training to solicitors on this subject.
Nicola is willing to accept instructions on a CFA basis and is also able to accept instructions directly through Public Access.
