Peter is regularly instructed for trials, advice and training in all areas of housing law, particularly:

  • anti-social behaviour (Possession, Injunctions, ASBOs)
  • disrepair
  • homelessness & allocations
  • other housing-related litigation (succession, injunction access, statutory nuisance, trespass, etc.).

  • Possession (Secure, Assured, AST); Homelessness & Allocations (incl. choice-based lettings); Access for Gas Inspection and Urgent Repairs; Estoppel & Trusts (incl. TLATA 1996); Adverse Possession; Tolerated Trespasser issues; Disrepair claims and counterclaims
  • Anti-Social Behaviour e.g. ASBOs; ASBIs; ASB Possession; Demoted, Starter, Introductory tenancies &c, Protection from Harassment Act 1997, Injunctions & Committals; Public Law/Art 8 & 6 defences.

Local Government (civil & criminal)

  • Including: Housing enforcement; Statutory Nuisance; Judicial Review; Licensing; Planning Enforcement (especially s.215 TCPA 1990); Trading Standards.
  • Mediation
