  • R v York City Council ex p Wilson ([1997] EWHC Admin 30 - consideration of the circumstances in which a public sector landlord may exercise its discretion to refuse to entertain a request for a property transfer
  • Routh v LCC 1998] EWCA Civ 445 - early decision regarding tolerated trespassers

Notable Cases

Recent cases include: acting for social landlords in nuisance possession case where there had already been injunction proceedings; advising in disrepair matter regarding issue of patch-repairing or renewal to a listed building; advice in JR matter involving eligibility for disabled adaptations; advising whether or not tenant of farm land and buildings used for horse grazing/stabling was an agricultural tenant
