As a solicitor he specialised in professional negligence and commercial litigation and gained considerable experience of dealing with solicitors and surveyors negligence claims.
He frequently advises and drafts pleadings on a broad range of contractual, commercial and professional negligence claims.
Simon has an interest in insolvency work and has advised on a variety of aspects of insolvency law.

Notable Cases
- Advised in respect of a potential professional negligence claim against solicitors alleged to have settled a fibromyalgia claim at an undervalue and/or failed to instruct appropriate experts. Issues arose in respect of scope of duty, causation and diagnosis of the underlying condition.
- Acted in defence of a claim by a Lender against a solicitor alleged to have breached duties arising from a conveyancing transaction.
- Acted on behalf of a property developer in a claim to recover damages for loss of bargain and consequential losses against an investor who failed to complete on a number of property purchases. Judgment obtained for £120,000.
