Simon acts for both claimants and defendants in connection with all types of personal injury claim on the Fast Track and Multi Track.
He has extensive experience of claims arising from road traffic accidents, employers' liability, occupiers' liability, Highways Act cases and industrial disease.
Simon is also very experienced in dealing with credit hire litigation. He is on the panel of counsel for a national credit hire company.
Simon practiced as a solicitor prior to joining chambers in 2004. As a solicitor he specialised in professional negligence claims and has considerable experience of dealing with solicitor’s negligence claims arising from personal injury litigation.
Simon is knowledgeable about costs and has appeared at a number of detailed assessment hearings.

Notable Cases
- Acted on behalf of an ambulance technician who was seriously injured when her ambulance skidded off the road and rolled down an embankment. Complicated issues arose concerning causation of long term psychological injury and calculations of earnings loss/pension loss.
- Advised on a potential professional negligence claim against a solicitor who had failed to provide advice in respect of a clinical negligence claim for wrongful birth. Complicated issues arose in respect of limitation and causation.
- Advised in respect of a potential professional negligence claim against solicitors alleged to have settled a fibromyalgia claim at an undervalue and/or failed to instruct appropriate experts. Issues arose in respect of scope of duty, causation and diagnosis of the underlying condition.
- Presently acting on a professional negligence claim against a nursing home in respect of its alleged poor care for a patient suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease.
