Legal 500 [2011] rankings put Zenith on top!

On 21st September, The Legal 500 released the results of their lastest research on the movers and shakers of the legal profession.

We are delighted that as well as maintaining our top tier ranking as one of the leading Sets on the North Eastern circuit, we have a number of 'new' barristers who have secured a recommendation for the first time. These new additions mean that we now have 13 barristers recommended in the 2011 guide.

The Editors noted our 'wide range of experience and specific areas of expertise' and observed that 'the most significant development was the arrival of a new CEO, Andrew Argyle...one of the first sets to make such an appointment.'.

6 barristers in our family team are recommeded in the guide. One new recommendation is for John Myers, Head of the Family team, who is described as, "faultless, fluid, flawless, precise and to the point." Other members of the team who are recommended include - John Hayes, Louise McCallum, Anthony Hajimitsis, Roger Bickerdike and Elizabeth Darlington.

Our 'strong criminal team' now includes Chris Smith who is noted for his "excellent cross-examination skills" and "analytical acumen and determination to see the job done." He joins Julian Goose QC, Simon Kealey and Tom Storey who also receive recognition.

Our Personal Injury barristers continue to receive recognition for their expertise, with Gordon Exall, Anesh Pema and Pankaj Madan all  receiving recommendations again this year.

Stephen Howd is again singled out for his expertise in commercial law and identified as "the best advocate" with an "understated courtroom presence".
