Nick Worsley prosecutes Accountant who stole to fund lavish lifestyle and mistress

Nick Worsley has recently prosecuted Accountant, Darren Upton, who stole several thousands of pounds from clients to fund his luxury lifestyle - including a mistress. Leeds Crown Court heard that he spent thousand of pounds on a range of luxuries, including setting up a mistress in a flat in Salford. The total amount taken was more that £500,000.

On 9th January 2012 he was jailed for a total of six years by Judge Sally Cahill QC after admitting 15 counts of fraud and another of contempt of court relating to breaching a restraining order.
