Public Law defences in the County Court - do we know more now then we did before?

Hounslow LBC v Powell; Leeds CC v Hall; Birmingham CC v Frisby [2011] UKSC 11, handed down on 23/02/11.

The relatively recent availability of County Court defences to occupiers who formerly had none at all is a seminal development, and which is having far reaching effects for all involved in bringing and defending possession claims concerning social housing. The two recent Supreme Court cases mentioned above tell us how and why.
