A former barrister of 9 St John Street Chambers - David Friesner - appeared in Leeds Crown Court on 12th January 2012 accused of stealing from both his former chambers and the Crown Prosecution Service.
SImon Kealey, a member of Zenith Chambers Crine Team, who prosecuted the case, accepted Mr Friesners guilty plea to some of the charges against him. Mr Friesner will be sentenced on 10th February and has been told by the Judge that "a sentence of immediate imprisonment is the likley sentence in your case" and "likely to be a substantial period of time."
