The highly regarded Zenith Crime Team, headed up by Grade 4 Prosecutor Simon Kealey, has two new members to add to its team of dedicated criminal practitioners.
Jessica Strange, a former solicitor, and Sobia Ahmed, fresh from the Crown Prosecution Service, have both joined at an exciting time for Zenith Chambers.
Zenith celebrates its 10th anniversary this year and is further strengthening its practice areas with a plethora of well regarded advocates.
Since being called to the Bar in 2003, Jessica Strange has built her practice solely around criminal matters, dealing with a wide range of cases, conducting trials, plea and case management hearings, sentences and appeals. Prior to joining Zenith she was an Associate Solicitor at Elliot Mathers Solicitors heading up their Crown Court Unit.
Sobia Ahmed joins Zenith from the Crime Prosecution Service where she worked as a Senior Crown Prosecutor. She is a member of the Preston and West Lancashire Racial Equality Council and has worked for the Free Representation Unit in London.
Andrew Argyle, Chief Executive, Zenith Chambers, commented:
"Both Jessica and Sobia bring a great deal of experience to the table and this can only strengthen our position as one of the leading sets of Chambers on the North Eastern Circuit.
"Our criminal practice group has amongst it a wealth of talented barristers, from Queen Councils to recently called ,who are each experts in handling all types of cases at all levels of the criminal court system.
"Jessica and Sobia are part of the new wave of younger advocates who are adding a new cutting edge to our service and helping us to attract a wider range of clients."
