Barristers, staff and clients of Zenith Chambers have been busy with their fundraising efforts in a bid to reach our target of £10,000 by the end of the year
On the 16th June, 7 teams took on an elite team of Barristers in our ‘Beat the Barristers Quiz’ at Chilli White in Leeds. The quiz maters was our very own Chief Executive, Andrew Argyle, who set difficult questions to challenge the brightest and best from around the city. We are delighted that despite putting up a strong fight, Zenith’s team had a resounding win. Led by Sarah Greenan - a quiz-professional - they managed to secure victory over teams from Gorman Hamilton, Sagars, Coutts, DTZ, Armstrong Watson and Baker Tilly.
The evening concluded with a charity auction and in total, £1400 raised for UNICEF. A big thank you to everyone who supported this event!
On the 19th June a team braved the cold waters (16.2 degrees to be precise) in the Great North Swim in Lake Windermere. Natalie Rodgers, Bronia Hartley, Simon Ross and Tracy Jesson donned rather uncomfortable wetsuits and ‘swam for their lives’ in an attempt to raise yet more money for a number of worthy causes. All those who participated successfully completed the 1 mile swim and conquered a range of fears from “contracting weils disease” to “coming into close proximity with pikes”!
