Claire was called in 1994 and joined Zenith Chambers in December 2017.

Claire is a specialist PI barrister who undertakes all aspects of personal injury claims. She accepts instructions on behalf of instructing solicitors, insurer clients and defendant PI firms and receives instructions to draft pleadings and pre-issue advisory work.

Claire undertakes cases predominantly in low to medium Fast Track disputes and at all stages of proceedings. She has experience of Road Traffic, PI and Credit Hire claims involving issues of causation, LVI and fraud. 

In her early career Claire worked at a high profile city firm Edward Lewis, who were instrumental in early Credit Hire defences. As a result she saw the development of this interesting field of work and sat behind counsel in the case of Giles and Thompson 1993 UKHL2 

Claire has also acted extensively for all parties in inquests.

Claire has been a Governor and Vice Chair of Governors at a local school; has advised on the planning and implementation of a substantial building contract and, assisted in challenges to decisions by the LEA which involved intimating Judicial Review. 

In her spare time Claire enjoys reading, walking her dog and when possible skiing.
